The venue for the 2011 Free Radicals meeting is the Rydges Sabaya resort in Port Douglas. Port Douglas is in Tropical North Queensland, around one hour's drive north from Cairns International and Domestic Airport, via a spectacular coastal road bounded by lush tropical rainforest and the glistening Coral Sea. There are nearby opportunities for golf, wildlife viewing, hiking, snorkelling, scuba diving, and simply hanging out on a long, unspoiled, tropical beach.

The Port Douglas resort features new spacious apartments and hotel style rooms, a lagoon style pool, perfect for enjoying the tropical North Queensland sun, and a restaurant and bar. The Port Douglas Resort is wheelchair accessible.
